Traditional Methods

Our main goal in diet planning is to ensure adequate and balanced nutrition, taking into account the individual's age, gender, physical activity level, eating habits, physiological and psychological state.

What is important for us is to apply nutritional treatment that is sustainable and acceptable in the long term. We create a nutrition plan together for our patients who apply for a diet, taking care to ensure that the diet contains adequate amounts of nutrients such as protein, vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids, is satisfying, and suits the person's taste and habits.

In this process, it is very important for the person to exercise and change behavior.

Exercise plays a major role in the prevention and treatment of obesity as a complement to nutritional therapy. Exercise also helps with long-term weight loss by increasing lean body mass. In morbidly obese people, factors such as cardiovascular problems, joint problems and respiratory problems caused by the pressure caused by excessive weight should be taken into consideration, and the type and intensity of exercise to be preferred should be planned individually.

Behavior change aims to make negative behaviors related to eating and physical activity that cause weight gain positive by reducing or changing them, and to maintain positive behaviors by reinforcing them.

Surgical treatment

Bariatric surgery is thought to be more effective than diet, exercise, behavior change and pharmacological treatment, which are the treatment methods for obesity.

Scientific studies emphasize the importance of dietitian monitoring in bariatric surgery. It was found that the decrease in BMI of bariatric surgery patients who met with a dietitian at least twice a year was less than 5% compared to patients who never met with a dietitian. Consultations with a dietitian are extremely important in the surgical treatment of obesity, in arranging medical nutrition therapy and in changing eating habits.
